“Love Left in the Clouds” by Madness Maddi

Chorus Chronicles 22 June 2025

Madness Maddi’s voice is admired for its power, soulful depth, and a unique blend of contemporary and operatic tones. With an extensive range that transitions from rich, resonant lows to soaring, classical highs, her performances are captivating and full of surprises. A gifted storyteller, she writes with raw vulnerability, fearlessly exploring topics society often avoids. Her poetic roots shine in vivid narratives, while her playful use of literary devices and wordplay adds fresh perspectives and moments of wit.

Born and raised in Baltimore, Madness Maddi’s passion for poetry and music began young. Her poetic journey started in middle school, but she didn’t embrace singing until November 2021. On her 23rd birthday in 2022, she boldly moved to Las Vegas, pursuing her West Coast dreams and a transformative artistic journey.
Inspired by legends like Whitney Houston, Celine Dion, and Tamia, as well as modern artists Jess Glynne and Becky Hill, Madness Maddi creates a fusion of pop, indie/alternative, R&B, folk, and rock that resonates deeply with listeners, offering clarity, healing, and emotional validation

“Love Left in the Clouds” is a post-breakup empowerment song that was born out of personal heartbreak and healing. I wrote it during a transformative season where I had to confront emotional betrayal, reclaim
my power, and let go of a love that had turned toxic. The song captures the raw journey from pain to clarity, using poetic imagery like “poison laced in his mouth” and “enemy in my house” to reflect how something that once felt safe can become dangerous.

Sonically, the song fuses emotional lyricism with atmospheric, pop-driven production while balancing melancholy with strength. I wanted the music to reflect that bittersweet moment where heartbreak meets liberation.
