On June 13, Swedish punk band Repeat will release the second single from their upcoming EP: “Nothing New” – a relentless, straight-to-the-point song packed with frustration, melody, and rage. In under three minutes, Repeat delivers a punch in the face of modern-day meaninglessness – a reckoning with endless lies, images, and repetition in everyday life. Driven riffs, pounding drums and raw shouts – “Nothing New” fuses pure energy with bitter clarity.
The lyrics swing between disillusionment and defiance: “Painting a picture / Selling us lies now / But we say that this is Nothing New.”
“The song is about that feeling when everything starts to sound like recycled noise – politics, media, even music. ‘Nothing New’ is our way of breaking free. Angry but honest. We didn’t want to overthink it – just hit record and let it out.”
“Nothing New” is the second single from the upcoming EP Celebrate, set for release in September. It was once again recorded with Joakim Lindberg at Studio Sickan in Malmö. The result: a sound that’s heavier and more melodic, without losing its raw edge.
