Based in Montréal, Canada, True Emergency is the brainchild of a solo artist who decided to bring a close friend on board for their latest project. Together, they have poured their hearts and souls into the creation of their original single, “Where It Ends,” which was released on 9th Jan 2025. True Emergency’s journey from being in a band to embarking on this new musical venture highlights their dedication and passion for their craft. As of today, True Emergency’s decision to focus on this project has proven to be a defining moment in their musical career.
Influenced by metal bands such as Bring Me The Horizon, Falling In Reverse, Bad Omens, and Thornhill, True Emergency’s sound blends synths with organic instruments, creating a unique and creative sonic experience. The emotional depth of “Where It Ends” reflects the artist’s struggles with self-doubt and introspection, encapsulated in powerful lyrics that resonate with listeners. This single stands out as a raw and authentic representation of True Emergency’s musical journey, showcasing their growth and evolution as independent artists striving for recognition in the music industry.
True Emergency is a solo artist who has always gone alone in this music world. But one day, he asked his best friend if he wanted to be part of “True Emergency”. Didn’t take time before he said “Fuck yeah !”. They worked on this project for a long period, since we were in a band before, and it was taking up a lot of our time. They couldn’t finish it properly at the time, because of the shows and music production. But they decided to quit their old band and start working on this project more seriously.
True Emergency listens a lot to Metal bands like: Bring Me The Horizon, Falling In Reverse, Bad Omens and Thornhill. Emergency thinks their sound goes into synths mixed with organic instruments. It is something he likes. The creativity of it. Plus, he likes big ol’ screams. Emergency’s head bounces on a graphic of “I’m the king of the world” and “I can’t do this anymore“. It’s a fight he carries on, and asks in the chorus in this track, “Tell me when it’s over ?“. He’s asking himself, “Where does it end?“, ‘cos it drives me nuts to be this up and down. It affects my relationships and my dreams. This is something to be careful of.
“Where It Ends” is about the heart. Songs that will come up, such as “Phobia” or “New Blood”, are more or less about his perceptions. It makes “Where It Ends” one of the most authentic songs he’s ever made. True Emergency records all his songs at home. His father taught him all he needed to be a producer/mixing engineer since the age of 9. But in the future, they seek to work in a real studio for better sound quality.
